These terms apply when you request a quote, book a shipment or pay through shippingtogousai.com ("the site"), operated by ShippingToGo ("we", "us"). By booking or paying, you agree to them.

1. What we do

We arrange international door-to-door shipments from the United States. Your shipment is picked up and carried by FedEx under our account. FedEx's own terms and conditions of carriage also apply to every shipment, including its rules on liability, claims and restricted items.

2. Quotes and prices

• Prices on the site are estimates in US dollars based on the weight, size and destination you enter.
• FedEx charges by billable weight: the higher of the actual weight and the dimensional weight (length × width × height in inches ÷ 139).
• Before you pay, our team confirms the final price with you. You only pay the confirmed price.
• If the package handed to FedEx is heavier or larger than declared, or needs special handling, FedEx may apply extra charges. We will tell you about any difference and you agree to pay it.
• Import duties, taxes and customs fees in the destination country are not included. They are normally paid by the recipient unless we agree in writing that you prepay them.

3. Payment

Payments are taken by card through Stripe, using a secure payment link we send you after confirming your price. We do not see or store your full card details. Each payment link is for one shipment and can be used once.

4. Your responsibilities

• Describe the contents, value, weight and size accurately and truthfully.
• Pack the shipment so it can travel safely by air.
• Provide complete sender and recipient details and any documents needed for export and customs, such as a commercial invoice.
• Make sure the shipment complies with US export rules, US sanctions and the import rules of the destination country.
• Be available for pickup at the address and time agreed.

5. Items we cannot ship

We do not ship items that FedEx, US law or the destination country prohibit. These include, among others: weapons, ammunition and replicas; explosives, fireworks and flammable items; illegal drugs and controlled substances; cash, bullion and negotiable instruments; hazardous or dangerous goods, including loose lithium batteries; perishable food without prior approval; live animals; and counterfeit goods. Some items, such as perfume, alcohol, medicines and batteries inside devices, can only be shipped under special conditions. Ask us before booking. We may refuse or stop any shipment that we believe breaks these rules.

6. Cancellations and refunds

• You can cancel for a full refund before FedEx collects the shipment.
• Once FedEx has collected it, the shipping charge is not refundable.
• If a shipment is refused by the recipient, held by customs or cannot be delivered, any return, storage or disposal charges are payable by you.
• Refunds go back to the card you paid with.

7. Delivery times

Transit times shown on the site are typical FedEx times and are not guaranteed. Customs inspections, weather and other events outside our control can cause delays.

8. Loss, damage and claims

Liability for loss or damage is limited to the carrier's liability under FedEx's terms of carriage, unless you buy additional declared value coverage through us before pickup. Report any loss or damage to us in writing as soon as possible, and keep the packaging and contents for inspection. Claims must be made within the time limits set by FedEx.

9. Privacy

We use your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on the site when you pay applies to your shipment.
